Golden autumn colours with warm highlights. Subtle, complex and persistent bouquet composed of candied fruit aromas and notes of port and the famous "rancio", together with notes of hawthorn and wild flowers. On the palate, the vanilla flavoured tannins of the wood develop generously and support aromas of candied fruit, such as apricot and orange.
Won the Trophy and the Gold Medal in the XO category at the Wines & Spirits Challenge 1998.
